How Dietitian Services can help you?

Dieticians are highly qualified professionals educated in science, management, human development, and health of populations. A dietitian can counsel and support clients to make changes in their eating habits to promote health and prevent chronic illness such as high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease and some forms of cancer. A dietitian can also help with chronic disease management to support clients currently living with conditions in which nutrition plays a role.

How does it work?

In-Depth Consultation/Nutrition Counselling

This session involves active collaboration; it is goal focused and client centred. During this initial assessment we will discuss any nutrition topics that you would like to address. Discussions will include nutrition concerns, typical eating patterns, allergies or diet restrictions, any health conditions you may have, as well as short and long-term goals.

Strategies for counselling will be addressed to indicate an effective plan tailored for your needs. Counselling may include a detailed review of a three day diet record, education regarding nutrition and health conditions when applicable, and strategic goal setting.  Together, we can work towards achieving your health goals.

Follow up visits

During the follow-up visits we will track your progress by reviewing your goals including successes, challenges, and barriers. Goals may need to be adjusted and new goals established over time. Anne can address any questions or concerns you have while providing ongoing support.
